ROOTS& HARD WOOD Small pieces get wasted while slicing
TUBEROUS ROOTS Wastage will increase when slicing is done after drying
FRUITS, BARK, WHOLE PLANT etc Slice the raw material just after harvesting , washing & Drying
 
   
2 OUR SUGGESTIONS
 
 
Keep the semi-processing yard clean
Dry the raw material up to desired moisture content
 
FRUITS dry the fruits until it attain 65% loss in weight
BARK dry the bark until it attain 67% loss in weight
ROOT dry the roots until it attain 54% loss in weight
Slice the raw material just after harvesting , washing & Drying
 
   
1 COMMON PROBLEMS IN STORAGE:
   
  Fungal attack due to insufficient drying
  Rodent attack and contamination by excreta
  Attack of insects
  Decaying due to storage in unhygienic condition

Dust  NIL ( clean the yard 4 to 6 time before drying the yard)
Process Shadow Drying is important/ GMP-Methods
Chops  SS Shaping Plates(Knife) because of avoiding heavy metals
Other Residues NIL

Fertilizer Organic Fertilizer, Animal & Bird Manure 60%

Land Preparation any leaves ( 6Mt) can be spread over the entire field - Then 2-ft deep plough
  6 Mt of Manure must per Acre
  1400 Kg of Vermi -Compost per Acre / Sea Weed 100 Kg PerAcre.
  4 Kg of Bio-fertilizer to control Pest, Disease & Root-knot nematode
  ( Mix 4 Kg Bio-Fertilizer with 300Kg Manure )
  After 35th day – 250 kg of Neem powder
  After 70th day  - 2-litre of Neem oil ( if any insects attack )
  pH & selection method enclosed
Plough  Minimum 2 times to remove all the weeds
Water Distance  prepare ridges & furrows so that the distance between the center of the ridge is 2 feet
Irrigation 5 days once enough (depends upon crop)
